DescriptionThe chinoiserie style seen on the wares produced by the Veuve Perrin was inspired by Jean-Baptiste Pillement’s engravings and pattern books. This group of objects capture the witty spirit of Pillement’s designs of an imaginary Orient characterised by multilevel structures and asymmetrical compositions. His
chinoiserie ornaments were the most commonly interpreted on French faience.
