DescriptionA Castel Durante blue-ground dish (tondino) by Zoan Maria, the slightly sunk centre painted with a putto pulling a cart on which Cupid stands beating a drum. Another putto sits blowing the trumpet, and the remaining surface symmetrically decorated with cupids holding banners inscribed SP and QR. There are also cornucopias, dolphins, and martial trophies in blue, ochre, yellow and green on a dark blue ground. The reverse with a foliate star and radiating compartments to border each with a chequered lozenge.
