DescriptionWorcester pint mug tankard, bell-shaped, with grooved and ribbed loop handle. The black transfer-prints on this mug represent two of the Four Elements and are taken from engravings by P. Aveline after Francois Boucher. No signed examples by Robert Hancock are known, but the style of these prints suggests his work. The two Elements represented here are 'Le Feu' and La Terre'.
