DescriptionOttweiler (Nassau-Saarbrucken) milk jug and cover, painted on the pear-shaped below the spout. It is painted with a dark-skinned satyr and blonde nymph seated on moss-covered rockwork. It is within a gilt palm-leaf panel on a white ground scattered with flower sprays, and the domed lid with yellow rose knop.
