DescriptionUrbino Gubbio-lustred Istoriato plate, painted by Francesco Xanto Avelli, with Daedalus flying above his son falling behind him. There is a river god in the foreground, and the background has a building by rockwork. The youth's wings and minor highlights are in copper lustre, and the reverse has foliate scrollwork in gold and copper lustre.
